Satin Ribbon Basket
A quick way to create an original basket for the festive table in honor of Easter! Now, giving "krashenki" will be twice as pleasant, and the guests will remember this gift for a long time.
To make a small basket with your own hands, prepare the following materials:• plastic sudochek with a volume of 300 ml; • 7 meters wide satin ribbon (2 cm wide); • 4 meters satin ribbon of a similar shade, but slightly worse (width from 0.8 cm to 1 cm) ; • a strip of any cardboard, 40 cm long (it can be as a single sheet of colored cardboard, as well as trimming any packaging); • thick bottom processing fabric; • universal polymer glue; • • scissors; • needle for sewing and, accordingly, thread required tones; • 2-3 kinds of colored ribbons for creating small additional elements.
Before you start, first prepare the base for the basket. To do this, carefully cut the bottom and get rid of the hollow top fields (if any).
Next, wrap the middle part of the tape, tightly overlaying each new strip over previous.
Try to move in equal parts to the distance from one edge of the ribbon to the other always turned out the same. At the end of the winding, sew the cut edge of the ribbon with a needle and thread (sew better inside).
Now you can proceed to cover the bottom. This will help us with the fabric, as well as the usual needle and thread.
From a fabric, cut a round blank with a small seam allowance, which you then sew together with plastic bottom along the entire circumference.
Then disguise this outer seam with braid, planted on polymer glue.
Long glue or somehow it is not necessary to firmly fix the bottom. Simply insert it inside and enjoy the finished stage of work, because now only a very small amount remains.
Cut a strip of cardboard from 2-3 cm, tightly tighten wide ribbon and sew in the center of its edge.
After that, sew the finished handle to the bottom of the basket with a seam outside. And now the basket is ready.
You have to decorate it and you can safely demonstrate it to the public. To do this, take a narrow ribbon and sew along straight stitches. The thread needs to be pulled together a little, so that the ribbon looks like ruches.
Next, gently sew these ruffles around the entire perimeter of the top edge and trim the excess.
With the remainder of the tape, hide the seam on the handle by gluing it with polymer glue.
It will not be bad to look a bright bow on the handle, which can be tied from any thin braid. Another bow will help “map out” the front side of the product, which will make it more solemn and ceremonial.
Now you need to fill the basket with" greens "(you can use cloth , artificial fur, yarn for knitting “Grass” and even natural dried moss). On the green background, the Krashenki look very natural and natural.
