The idea of making a chickens is not new and relevant at all times, while a person eats meat products. All of us are familiar with eating lumps in cardboard boxes, but a cardboard box is not quite the right home for chicken for several reasons. This article will present a relatively successful experience in creating a chicken for 250 heads with wood and welded wire mesh. First of all, we list all the necessary tools and consumables: 1. Board 10 * 2.5 cm. 2. Rake 3 * 2.5 cm. 3. Fasteners (screws of various lengths) 4. Grid welded and breakdown with a cell from 0.5 * 0.5 to 1 * 1 cm. 5. Tools (circular saw, jigsaw or handsaw, drill, screwdriver for convenience, hammer, stapler, use of additional tools is possible) The framework can be made of both wood and metal square pipes. Metal is more durable and hygienic.Let's start with the base, these are four identical mesh cloths on a strong frame. Each of them will be either the floor or the ceiling for the "kids", forming 2 tiers.Dimensions 195 * 260 cm. The length can be changed, but in width the size larger than the specified one is not strictly recommended. In this case, the welded mesh is fastened with a stapler with a twist on the ends with the edge and in the middle. It is very important to make the stretch as effective and durable as possible. The breakdown grid will become more reliable from sagging. It will provide increased rigidity.Joints in the middle prudently we process with protective material in order not to injure the legs of chickens, for example, with a strip of linoleum.Doing in the grid, the slots for the racks are in the same places and we put all four canvases in a grid up on the prepared floor. It is necessary to take care of the walls so that there are no drafts.Insert racks all the way into the floor into the prepared slots, and fasten them to the ceiling strictly vertically along the level.
The next step will be fixing ceilings and floors. Overall width of one tier was 58 cm.Between tiers of at least 22 cm, however, if you use pallets to collect litter, which will undoubtedly facilitate the removal of litter, then less is possible. The distance between the floor of the lower tier and the zero floor is 52 cm.Our chicken is ready. All that remains is to do the wiring for 3 - 5 light bulbs for each level. We lay newspapers, sackcloth or plastic film on the lower level ceiling and on zero floor, for collection conveniences. For a comfortable life of the yellow-headed people, you can build a heat-plant, having separated from one side 60 cm in a separate box.Practice has shown that the temperature in the heat sink is only two degrees higher, i.e.if there are no drafts in the room, then you can do without it.You can disassemble the structure if desired and install it elsewhere.Heat-maker inside the tier front view.Heat pipe side view.Do not forget about the safety technique when making wiring under the light bulb. The cartridge should not come into contact with combustible materials and be at a distance of 10 cm from them. Each tier of such a chick is able to withstand up to 100 kg of live chicken weight.
