Cockerel

Hello, dear readers. I will tell you today how to make a cute rooster out of scrap materials that can attract the attention of your child, and the child will be able to play with this toy while you are busy.
Toy Cockerel
To make it, you will need: 1. Cardboard paper from which the sample will be made; 2. Fabric, - white, black, blue-green and orange colors (but you can take any other color to taste) 3. Scissors, thread (suitable for color), pencil, needle; 4. Colored paper, glue, tape; 5. Vata, tweezers.

Take a blank cardboard sheet and draw on it first a sample of the future toy. Cut out the sample, draw a wing to it separately, and cut out the wing, let's see how they look together:

Now let's cut the sample into its component parts to make it more convenient work with him at the pattern.Comparing each piece of the sample with a separate piece of material, we cut out each of the two parts (for the left and right sides of the toy) from the fabric in turn: the head is cut from the white matter, the trunk and the upper part of the wing from the blue-green, and the tail with the lower part of the wing ("feathers") - from black. Eyes, scallop, beak, paw and beard are made from colored paper (pasted with cardboard inside and scotch tape - outside). Cockerel Toy
We are then preparing to join the seam two details of the head. To sew a beak with a red beard so that, because of the internal seam, they do not get in their proper location - that is, they are outside - they have to sew like this:

This shows the outer sides of the toy. The detail on the right here should be turned, put on the left, and then sew. However, we have to face a little difficulty stitching the comb to the head. It is too wide to fit in the area of the fabric (if it is connected from the inside with a seam, the head cannot be turned out from the inside).show on the sample:

Sew a scallop from the outside, then glue the eyes made of colored paper with scotch:

Torso, we made some more sample by size, - by 1.5 cm, and connected its parts to the deformation When (the desired shade of thread I picked up, combining the two into one: the blue and green). The tip of the foot is sewn inside: Toy Cock

Now take hold of the wings. Sew them outside, by inserting inside (depending on your taste) or a soft filler (cotton wool), or a hard (cardboard sheet). I have a cardboard sheet sewn into the wings, made to the size of the wings:

The lower half (where the black fabric) is sewn also from the outside, and then sew it to the body , connecting through the cardboard seam on the color of the upper fabric: Toy Cock Having tried on the toy's torso to her head, we unexpectedly notice that their ends diverge in the neck area. Then I tried to do this: cut a few rectangular patches of white fabric and, connecting their ends and stitching along, sewed toys to the neck; thanks to this it has become more convenient to connect the neck with the trunk of the toy: Cockerel Toy Sew the neck with the trunk:

Two parts may not fit together, if they are made of different quality fabrics. For example, in our toy, the matter of the body turned out to be more durable than the matter of the head, and therefore they together, sewn along the pattern, did not fit together (the body was too small, it had to be redone). So, when the torso with the neck and the head are already connected together, they should be filled with cotton. Enter it to us only through the hole in the tail - it is the only one left from all holes: Toy Cock Because it is rather small, then we should introduce the filler into it little by little and tweezers; it also helps to correct the filler in the toy and push it deeper:

Our toy is stuffed with cotton:

Let's see how it will look on our toy:

I wanted to redo the cardboard paw of a toy rooster into an embroidered one. I took a piece of fabric of suitable color and, having picked up the right size for the paw, made of this fabric a few square details. Cutting the tips, I sewed an oblong, slightly oval-shaped foot out of them, and filled it with cotton:

Now we sew to the body of the toy tail, wings, and a paw made of cloth, cutting off, not touching the seam, previous cardboard:

Our toy cock is almost ready; I decided to remake his tail, making it slightly larger than the previous one (like the body, I added about 1.5 centimeters of length to it). It will be correct if the tail of the rooster is high - it should be almost the height of its head in height. After removing the old tail and stitching a new one, I decided to change the position of the foot so that it was more convenient to put the toy (it stands by itself):

Now our toy soft cock is ready. The child will be happy to play with him, appreciating the daunting handicraft.
