Docking station for mobile phone materials
I do not know how much the docking station for smartphones costs in the salons of communication, I have never been interested in, but to make the very device itself, in my opinion - is easy ! After all, in fact, this is an ordinary stand, so that the phone does not roll anywhere, and does not scratch the table, or other surfaces, its body and screen. Of course, docking stations come with different functions. Some are intended only for recharging a mobile device, others have a keyboard and mouse, others only play the role of a regular stand. Anyway, to collect a decent kind of stand with the function of recharging, from an improviser and, practically unnecessary to anyone, junk, will not be almost any labor and financial costs.First we will prepare everything necessary for work and see the parameters of the phone in its instruction manual. There should be a column "Device characteristics" where the parameters are written - length, width, thickness. If not found, simply measure with a standard ruler, albeit not with perfect accuracy; the hundredths and tenths of a millimeter do not matter in this matter ... We will adhere to this data in further work. After the specified time, we take tightly glued blanks from under the press and cut off the excess, sticking fields of the aluminum plate with scissors. Now we will make the holders of the phone that will hold it on the back in a certain position, preventing it from falling. Holders will be made from the bottom of the wiring box. They are perfect for this purpose.Cut off two pieces of 6-7 centimeters of the bottom of the box.For now, let's leave these blanks. Next, we cut a rectangular hole in the base-stand, into which we, with the help of superglue and soda, glue the back.We process the edges of the cut hole with a needle file so that they become smooth. Now you need to fix the backrest at the base, in any corner you need, and to bait it.By dripping second glue at the joints of the back and the base and immediately sprinkling soda on this place, we will easily grab the blanks to each other. Only to make all this is necessary from the inside of the future dock, so that glue and soda do not spoil its appearance. Now, with any pieces of plastic, glue and soda, glue the back to the body thoroughly.By the way, if there are any inscriptions or logos on the case from its past purpose, they can be easily removed with gasoline for cigarette lighters and cotton swabs. Now we will glue the ready-made blanks from the boxes to the back. To do this, we put these holders on the sides of the phone, apply all this to the back, mark the location of the holders with a marker, remove them from the phone and glue them with second glue to the marked places on the back.It remains to cut a hole for the microUSB plug.To do this, install the phone in the almost ready docking station, mark the place with a marker, where the phone's charging socket contacts the surface of the case, and cut out there with a burner or a soldering iron, a hole for the microUSB plug.
It will be necessary
- As a basis, the plastic case from some small device (I took the case from an old wi-fi router).
- Second glue.
- Soda (normal , food).
- Plastic, for the back of the dock, thickness of 2-3 millimeters.
- Aluminum, 1 mm thick.
- A box for wiring (the bottom part) of 15-20 centimeters.
- Overfill (flat or square).
- USB cable - microUSB.
- Burner or soldering iron.
Making a charging station for a smartphoneFirst of all, using a burner, cut a plastic plate for the back of the docking station, on which the charging phone will continue to lie. I cut for this purpose a piece of plastic from the case of a non-working laptop, with the logo of the same company as my phone. Cut the plate, according to the parameters of the phone. There is a small subtlety here; It is not necessary to cut the back along the entire length of the phone, it can be shorter, but not less than half the length. The main thing in this moment is the width. Here it should be a couple of millimeters more than the width of the phone. Now we plentifully grease the back side of the cut-out plate with second-hand glue and apply it to an aluminum sheet prepared in advance. We put under the press for ten minutes so that the planes stick to each other as close as possible and denser.
