How to run a disk image?

When you already have an image of a disk on your computer, now you need to run it somehow. How to run a disk image will tell our article. You can start (or mount) an image with several options:

  1. From any available conductor, if you have any program for working with disk images, for example Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools. To do this, click the right mouse button on the image. In the menu that appears, hover the mouse over the item “Mount image”, and then, in the pop-up menu, select the virtual drive onto which this image will be mounted. Everything, now it remains only to open the drive in the explorer and use the data from it.
  2. Using, for example, the program Alcohol 120%. To do this, you must run the installed program Alcohol 120%. There are two options for "mounting" images:
    • drag, holding the left mouse button, the desired image into the central window of the program. Then right-click on it and select "Mount to device", then select the device itself (virtual drive) on which this image will be mounted;
    • in the lower part of the program window there will be a list of virtual drives. Click on any drive with the right mouse button and select "Mount image". In the window that opens, called "Open", you must select the path to the image file and click the "Open" button.

Then open the drive and use the data from the image on it. Now you know how to run a disk image!
