Revenevy Compote- a step by step recipe. A wonderful refreshing drink with such a recognizable herbal-sour taste.
- 250 g of rhubarb;
- 100 grams of cane sugar
- half a lemon;
- half vanilla pod.
Cut the rhubarb into small pieces. Cut lemon into 4 parts. Remove the vanilla seeds from the pods.
Put the rhubarb in the pan, pour 500 ml of drinking water. Add lemon, sugar and vanilla. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let it stand for at least 30 minutes.
Strain the compote through the smallest sieve, cool well, at least 1 hour. Slices of rhubarb can be used for other dishes (pies, jellies) or just to eat - they are very tasty.
