Snowflake from scrap materials

Snow is spinning outside the window. Due to the white shroud on the street much brightened. The sky seems not so gray, and the mood is gloomy. Winter has come - it's time to prepare for the New Year and Christmas. Without paper crafts in the winter, nowhere. Children cut openwork snowflakes, pictures - stencils with the image of fir trees or bluebells, glue colored garlands. Homemade ornaments decorate the premises in the kindergarten or the rooms of the house. From brilliant tinsel and at all wonderful elements of decor, for example, asterisks, snowflakes or balls, are obtained. The indisputable advantage of crafts made from scrap materials is that they keep their shape well. Today we offer to make a snowflake up to 15 cm in size. For work you will need: - silver or blue tinsel - plastic yogurt cup - scissors. If there is a wire at the base of the tinsel that doesn’t hold the shape well, you should also prepare a glue or a stapler for fixing the edges of the craft. We do not have a wire at home from which to frame the snowflake, so we decided to experiment with yoghurt cups. I must say, successfully. So, we are armed with scissors. The task at the first stage is to remove the hard top of the glass and cut out eight rays from plastic, four of which with two branches. Do not touch the bottom.

Then we take the tinsel in our hands and wrap the plastic parts in a spiral. It is better to start the work from the base (circle) of crafts, gradually moving to the top of the first ray,and then back to the middle.

Snowflake from scrap materials I would like to note that the direction and frequency of the turns of tinsel on plastic do not matter. The main thing is to fit the rows tightly to one another.

If necessary, at the tips of the rays, the tinsel can be folded and fixed with a stapler. However, we repeat, the tape is based on soft wire, which perfectly holds the fold positions without additional fastenings.
