Is Being The Middle Child The Best Or The Worst?
Why Do Babies Choose the Worst Times to Have Meltdowns?
While I was leaving a friend's apartment yesterday, her new upstairs neighbor, who was in the process of moving in, stopped to say hello. And my had-been-sleeping baby chose that moment to completely lose it.
I tried to remain calm, but in my rush to hightail it outta there, I accidentally faced the car seat so the baby was in direct sunlight (more screaming) and then almost tipped over the stroller. Ugh.
Emmett relaxed as we walked to the post office and even stayed quiet while I bounced his stroller in line. When we were finally called to the counter—BAM!—hysterical crying. The postal worker was not amused, to say the least.
An hour later—when he was fed and changed—we attempted a trip to the drug store to pick up a prescription and a card for Emmett's great-grandfather. We almost made it to the register without incident. But with just two people in front of us, something set him off. More tears, mixed with some wailing for good measure.
